Our brains are our most valuable asset. In an era shaped by artificial intelligence and evolving demands for human flourishing and workforce readiness, building brain capital has become essential. Brain capital is the powerful integration of brain health and brain skills, including creativity, curiosity, adaptability, and resilience, that enable individuals and communities to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
On June 24, 2025, we launched America’s first six-week Brain Capital Camp for youth, concluding with a celebratory showcase on July 22, which is World Brain Day. Guided by the book My Brain My Brain My Beautiful Brain, twenty students explored the anatomy of the brain, emotional regulation, the impact of nature on brain function, and a range of brain health and creativity-focused topics (see book syllabus below).
Through hands-on learning and embodied experiences, students gained foundational knowledge and practical tools to better understand, care for, and strengthen their brains to plant seeds for lifelong cognitive wellness and creative confidence.

Brain Camp Curriculum
Using the anchor book My Brain My Brain My Beautiful Brain, students explored seven core sections designed to help youth optimize their brain health while strengthening protective factors, such as stress reduction, quality sleep, TBI’s and mental stimulation, that can lower dementia risk; risks that research shows can begin as early as childhood.

My Brain is My Universe

Brainolicious Adventure’s Brain Capital Camp successfully petitioned the City of Phoenix to establish the nation’s first Brain Capital Awareness Month.
On July 22, 2025—World Brain Day, students from the camp proudly received the official proclamation from Mayor Gallego, marking a historic milestone for youth brain health and brain capital education.
The camp serves as a living example of how brain health concepts can be integrated into everyday behaviors for young people. By decreasing screen time and increasing time in nature and with peers, students learned to become more mindful stewards of the brain health, creativity, and long-term potential of their remarkable brains.
We are deeply honored that 20 students participated in America’s first official Brain Capital Camp, gaining practical tools to optimize brain performance while also strengthening protective factors that help lower dementia risk later in life. These early interventions empower youth to build lifelong cognitive resilience.
We look forward to expanding this program, adding to our brain health book library and making it accessible for other organizations to implement and adapt.
Brain capital belongs to all of us.
Rather than waiting until the end of life to protect the brain, we believe in beginning at the very start; nurturing healthy, thriving minds from the earliest years forward.
Let’s start at the beginning!
